It’s lovely to be fully open again.
All our usual groups are back and we have lots of exciting new ones too.
Much more for children with Carols treble time music based class for babies and toddlers and Sophie’s Street dance and Disney dance for children age 3 and over.
New classes starting include an adult version of Sophie’s Street dance class which sounds like great fun if you don’t take yourself too seriously and a gentle movement to music aimed at people over 50 and will be suitable for everyone no matter what your fitness level.
Lisa is starting two new classes on a Wednesday evening and Thursday morning. Hitt and Tabata which is a bit more energetic for those a bit fitter or would like to be. But don’t be put off everyone works at their own level.
We are going to get a soundbar fitted in the village hall so people can connect via Bluetooth. This will be great for exercise classes and private parties.
Other fabulous news is that Shirley has managed to get funding from the national lottery for a new kitchen. The work will take place in September and although it will be a bit disruptive it will be worth it in the long run. We plan to remain open while the work is being done. Once the work is complete councillor Lynda Wright is going to do the official opening. It would be great if you could join us for a cup of tea to see the new kitchen.

The gardening group, of walbottle village residents association, has been working hard all over the village and it all looks great. The new tubs either side of the seat and having the hanging baskets planted up again makes such a difference.
There are plans to have the outside of the hall redecorated hopefully this will start soon.
There are some other events being planned in conjunction with the residents association these include a Macmillan coffee morning a Halloween party and some Christmas events. Dates and times for some of these events are yet to be confirmed so watch out for more details. Obviously, the residents association newsletter will have more information.
